【Chapter 3】

- The Engineering Lab -

Upon entering the engineering lab, the protagonist meets Zalmona, who claims that she has lost a round, spherical object somewhere in the lab. She asks the protagonist to find it for her, and in exchange she will give her the key card to the Legal Department. Investigate the robotic arms in the lab, and you will find one of them holding a key. Use the key on the locked drawer, and inside it you will find a scalpel and a cassette tape. Use the cassette tape on the boombox, and you will see a flashback from the perspective of Vincent himself. You can switch back and forth from the protagonist’s perspective to Vincent’s perspective by clicking on the boombox.

In the engineering lab, you will see a puzzle you have to solve that involves four art piece. Each art piece has two buttons that can either change its shape or its color. What you need to do is to match each shape to its corresponding color, and also arrange the colors in a specific order. On one of the red robotic arms, you will find a circle engraved on it. On the yellow trophy, you will find a diamond shape engraved on it. And on Vincent’s bar table, you will see a green diary with a triangle engraved on it, and a blue fountain pen with a square engraved on it. This is how we know what shape each color should be matched to. However, we also need to know the order of the colors.

Click on the poker cards on Vincent’s table, and we see that the four cards have four suits including fire, trees, water droplets, and the moon, and the numbers happen to be from A to 4 as well. The numbers of the cards imply the correct order of the colors. A has a tree on it, so it refers to green. 2 has a water droplet on it, so it refers to blue. 3 has the moon on it, so it refers to yellow. 4 has fire on it, so it refers to red. Therefore, the solution to the puzzle is:

Green - Triangle

Blue - Square

Yellow - Diamond

Red - Circle

After entering the correct answer to the puzzle, the fixture on one of the doors in the lab will unlock. Click on the door, and it will lead you to a secret dark lab behind it. Click on the blackboard; Zalmona and the protagonist will mention how they need to find the correct experimental subject number in binary. Also in the bottom right corner of the blackboard, we see that there’s a diagram indicating that there’s a spherical device inside the cyborg, and that such spherical device will turn them into “human.” Inferring from the journal Zalmona mentioned and Winston’s experimental journal, we realize that the spherical device is the memory core implanted inside the cyborg. And from Winston’s journal, we learn that the only cyborg that did not go berserk and thus did not have their memory core removed was subject #3, therefore we enter 011 into the screen (011 -> 1 + 1*2 + 0*2*2 = 3), which will drain the fluid in the middle glass chamber. After the chamber is drained, click on it to get a closer look of the cyborg, then proceed to use the scalpel on them.

- The Legal Department -

After saying goodbye to Zalmona and obtaining the key card from her, the protagonist successfully enters the Legal Department. On what used to be Vincent’s office table, she finds a note and a glove left next to it. The note says that the glove is a gift for her to obtain her past memories. Click on the glove and put it on.

- Dr. Emanon’s Apartment -

After what happened in the elevator, we see a flashback from the perspective of Vanora, a detective who is investigating the murder of Dr. Emanon, a former employee of Myers Corporation. We need to collect 6 evidence. The first four could be collected from investigating the curtain, the blood on the floor, the trophy, and the door leading into the apartment. Then talk to the police officer by clicking the speech bubble in the button left corner. He will tell you the other two clues. After finishing collecting all evidence, we need to make two deductions. We first need to deduce the reason why the killer screwed up this one specific murder, and the correct answer is that the killer has an extreme fear of sudden darkness due to some form of previous trauma. We then need to deduce why the killer specifically chooses to dismember Dr. Emanon, and the correct answer is the killer wants to obtain certain body parts of Dr. Emanon’s.

That’s it for Chapter 3! I would like to once again thank everyone for being willing to give this game a try. If you like this game, consider leaving a good rating or recommend it to your friends.
