Oh my god... I have been following this project since 2019, so I played the very early version of VTSOM when it was still only in Chinese (and I think I played and followed the game until Chap3).
Today, I downloaded it again, and WHAT THE HELL! Dino did A LOT of remakes on EVERYTHING!!!!! The quality of the game is insane now, and how did he do all these UI with Ren'Py??? AND all those new music... how????
I can't even think how much time he put into this. He is so talented; I felt it before, and I feel the same now.
Back then, I was still in college when Dino released Chap1. Dino's project really inspired me to work on an indie game project someday... and now I am really developing my own game...! Ah damn, replaying this game really pulls me back into the old times.
Exceptional. The whole experience of playing this game was very smooth and cleverly interactive in a way that locks you in in a very good way and not the 'insanely hard to the point it makes you want to give up the game' kind of way.
The storyline and plot was also really captivating. There's a few things that still remained unexplained, and I'm still hoping that we could see more things from Victor's point of view. (I'm shameless with the fact that I think I favor Victor a little bit more, hence why I want to see more of him and get to know him better, probably due to my personality leaning more towards Vincent and I think every Vincent needs their own Victor.) I believe the key element to making your game timeless is to keep your players curious about the characters in the game, and you nailed this right where it hits good. The way you write the relationships between each characters and how they relate to each other are really... all I can say is you're a writer who cares about all your characters equally and it showed in the game. I'm just at loss of words, especially at how you unfold Victor and Vincent's relationship and just how dependent they actually are to each other. Chapter 4 ending was sort of unexpected, but I do understand why it ended up they way it did.
As for the background music, they are all fitting for every situation and scene in the game. I'm a really meticulous person when it comes to this aspect, and it's one of the aspect that most games overlooked because it seemed unimportant enough compared to other striking aspects like visual and storyline. But seeing how each scene in this game are accompanied by music and sounds that truly fit the vibe, I can easily tell that you really took your time in choosing each of them carefully.
If I were you, I would be really proud to be the creator of Vincent: The Secret of Myers. Will definitely come back to this once new chapters are out and ready. Thank you very much for creating this amazing masterpiece and please, do keep up the good job.
i ABSOLUTELY LOVE this game! Really curious about the 5 and 6 chapter tho, i'm currently have a breakheart because of the chapter 4 ending (i luv the Edgeworth brother ;( ) but this is a masterpiece. Thank you for making this game <3 (oh and TWDAK too, i love it sm)

Hi Dino I hope you still read comments, i want to let you know that there are a few typos in the route1_03_legal_department_monsieur_m_flashback.rpy and 01_bedroom.rpy (im not sure if the one in 01_bedroom.rpy is a typo but i just wanted to check with you).
In line 142 of the the monsieur m flashback, you misspelled "Destroy" as "Destory". And for the bedroom one, you misspelled shadow as shaodw in the image code part but i think you dont have to fix it since no one really takes apart your game besides me and few others.
(P.S. I took it apart to study coding in ren'py and I'm making my own game now because i felt inspired by your games. I really look up to you!)
The game make with Renpy right...? Renpy support multi language in 1 game (and it pretty easy!) so I think you should try that instead of make seperate version like this. It just a suggestion though.
I'm not usually one for story games, but WOW. This game is amazing! I love the story, characters, art, etc. Being able to name yourself adds an extra kick of fun to it, as well. (I named myself Y/N by request of my friend and it was hilarious) 100/10 Would recommend!
Watched gameplays of this game along with TWDAK and was very obsessed(discovered through manlybadasshero, then scoured for every other gameplay I could find). Recently played this game myself, and I definitely fell in love all over again. Your games and characters mean a lot to me, not only do I feel seen when I play your games, I also feel like I am given a lot to think about as well as aspire to. I am willing to wait for a decade, maybe even longer, for this game to be completed, because I know this will be something that resonates with me even then.
ok so, i love VN games so much and i never found any one of them that i found alot of intrest in..... but this game is the most best VN game i have ever played in my life, if you ever make a sequel js know you have my blessing, keep this up like fr.

Loved this. Story, illustration, effects and everything. This was so amazing I found myself being very surprised when looking at the credits and seeing mostly one name. This truly deserves more attention because the effort can be seen in every part of it! I played Therapy with Dr. Krueger before and wanted to try more by the same creator and it really was worth it! Spent my afternoon playing this and loved every minute. Great!
it really amazes me how well made this game was, considering that it was made by one person only(story-line, characters, background etc). i really liked the twist of the story and that there was not a moment for the player to get bored; i also liked the puzzles( i got stuck in room 3 not gonna lie :)) ) and the various personalities of the characters(especially Vincents philosophical beliefs). i do wonder where the inspiration for this game came from though, it must have took a really long time. i would recommend this to anyone who is interested in this types of games. cant wait for the next chapters!!!
